17th Karwendelmarsch

Even in the run-up to this year’s event, the Karwendelmarsch attracted a fair amount of attention: selling out in no time at all and featured in the media across Austria, ‘the legend’ once again drew numerous participants to the Karwendel Nature Park this year. On the 35- and 52-kilometre routes, participants faced a challenging day amidst the impressive Tyrolean mountain scenery. In the men’s race, Johannes Dörr, a German living in Innsbruck, triumphed with a time of 4:03:01 hours. In the women’s race, Maike Drieb-Schön, also from Germany, came out on top in 4:54:54 hours.
