The Karwendelmarsch 2026 will take place on 29 August. The start is at 6 am at Scharnitz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disciplines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The hiking discipline is primarily about experiencing nature and raising awareness of the Karwendel Nature Park. In the running category, the focus is on the sporting achievements of the participants. Another difference lies in the classification of the individual competitions: For hikers, there is a general ranking for all participants, whereas for runners there are different ratings by age and gender.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Participants have the option of competing with poles<\/strong> in all disciplines \u2013 including the runners\u2019 class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distribution of start numbers:<\/strong>
On Friday, August 28th 2026 from 11 am to 7 pm and on Saturday August 29th 2026 from 4 am to 5.30 am at the parking lot \u201cL\u00e4nd P2\u201d<\/a> (Adress: Hinterautalstrasse 422, 6108 Scharnitz). Here you can find the\u00a0site plan<\/a>.
Please bring the registration confirmations and ID (copies).<\/strong> Digital is also possible!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

!!! TIME LIMITS<\/strong> !!!<\/strong>
All participants must have passed the Karwendelhaus by 11.30 (35 & 52 km)<\/strong> and the second mat at the Eng control station (Gro\u00dfer Ahornboden) by 14.00 (52 km) <\/strong>at the latest<\/strong>. Passing the rest of the course later than this is out of competition (without start number) and outside the official event times. Participants are responsible for any return transfer costs. Please note that the refreshment stations, first aid posts and emergency services will be withdrawn from the course with the final runner from 2.00 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
